Jennifer Kolter, acupuncturist and herbalist, is trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which encompasses an array of modalities such as: acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy, cupping, Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), Tai Chi, and moxabustion.
She completed her Masters in Oriental Medicine degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, College of Health and Wellness in Bloomington, MN. Jennifer is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Her experience includes treating the geriatric population at Cerenity Senior Care in the Twin Cities metro area, as well as treating patients at the Woodwinds Clinic in Woodbury, and the Bloomington Natural Care Center at Northwestern Health Sciences University.
As a TCM provider, Jennifer is able to customize an individual’s treatment to guide the body back to a natural way of healing. The healing begins with the patient, no matter the therapy – mind, body and spirit must be in harmony for health to be achieved. She is passionate about getting to the root of the problem and is excited to guide you through the complicated journey back to vitality.
On a personal note, Jennifer is married and has four active children. Her background, before TCM, was largely accounting and customer service related employment with a 10 year window staying at home to raise her children full-time. Raising her children was the spark of her journey into this medicine and continues to help fuel the passion along with every client she sees.
