Initial Visit
The first visit includes a thorough health history, evaluation of your main complaint and current health status, and a one-sided body acupuncture treatment. You will receive a basic introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory and learn how it applies to your healthcare. Needles are retained for approximately 20-30 minutes. Plan on a one and a half-hour visit.
Follow-Up Visits
These visits include a brief follow-up evaluation, a two-sided body acupuncture treatment, and continued recommendations for self care. Needles are retained for approximately 20-30 minutes. Plan on a one and a half-hour visit.
Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System™
Mei Zen is a cosmetic acupuncture system that is based on Chinese medicine. It promotes the circulation of Qi and Blood in the face, which in turn, increases muscle tone, elasticity, collagen production and skin moisture. Cosmetic acupuncture is healthier, less expensive, and virtually risk free. There are none of the side effects of modern treatments. This system not only treats the face or neck, but balances the whole body making you feel younger from the inside, out.
Consultation
Prior to receiving Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, you must have a consultation to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for this treatment. Please bring your calendar to this visit so we may schedule all sessions at once. Plan on a 20-minute consultation.
Treatments
Through research, clinical experience, experimentation and classwork, it has been determined that in order to receive the best results with the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System™, a series of 10 treatments are necessary. These are scheduled at the initial consultation for two treatments per week, for five weeks. Plan on a one-hour treatment.

Mankato Acupuncture Clinic accepts cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Currently, this clinic accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and Health Partners. You may also use your HSA or Flexible Spending accounts for acupuncture treatment.
